Hello ADA!

Making a mind-call from the @Lagos: Local Training Seminar to @East Med

I came into Nigeria ending of June for my summer internship (required) for graduation and just had this LR-AIESEC rush that it has been keeping me high spirited since then. First AIESECer I met was the MCP and the MCVP-ER, then a set of Super-AIESECers.

As if it was not enough, I met with the rest of the MC-Crew and Alumni, that same night. Coming down to the local level - AIESEC Lagos, I went to caravan and the first person I'd see was the LCP, and then the LCVPs. Haba! Too many LRs.

I was then opportuned to work with the LCVPTM as it was recruitment time for the LC, and before I knew it, I was on the OC team and then FACI team for the Local Training Seminar. Mehn! My @XP just went into another gear. So what's next? NST - the AIESEC Nigeria National Training Seminar in Abeokuta (Otta). Let's see how that goes.

Hello ADA! This is Nubi from Lagos!

W I S D O M | The Shoe Tale

Yaaay! Today's is my dad's birthday and it was definitely an awesome start of the day, as  he went jogging. How cool is it to say your dad went jogging? We then sat together for devotion and he shared how happy he was 'cos he just got a phone call from his mom (my grandma) who told him he was actually born on a Tuesday. Super! He also shared that all of his kids (including me) were all leaders of some sought as a trend of being existed in the family. Well, I know W I S D O M is not yet mentioned in this post, but here's a story my dad shared too:

A man walked into a shoe store to get himself a pair of shoes. He looked at the shelf and went shoe-surfing for a couple of minutes, having things like: color, shape, style, compatibility, texture, and other factors on his mind. He then finally settled for a particular pair and asked the shoe attendant to help bring it down. Well it was quite high up the shelf, so it called for a fuss, as it took about twenty minutes for a joint effort of the store's two attendant to get the shoes down.

The man then tried it on and it didn't fit. The first store attendant said - "Your legs are too big for the shoe", and the man looked disgusted. In haste the second store attendant said - "I just think the shoes are too small for your legs". The man eased up and nodded in agreement and asked for another pair of shoes.

They both said the same thing, but in different context. It took wisdom for the latter to make known the obvious. U dig.

Happuna! Shoelessness!

The Ladybird and The Fly

This happened a few weeks ago, as I walked to an exam. I did sleep late the night before and was still feeling grumpy when I walked out of bed towards the exam hall. I then noticed I had set out a little earlier than usual and had more time to cover the usual 8-minute walk.

As I was about getting to my department(exam center), first came the ladybird in all of her (assuming it's a she) beauty, with her wings shinny under the sun, but then I found myself crushing it with the sole of my feet. Well, I didn't think much of it. Then came the fly crawling (I think it was injured): all tattered and drab, but I found myself excusing it, as I walked past it.

A few walks away, I asked myself: "Why did I crush the beautiful ladybird, and leave the tattered fly?"
